(2007) 9"x12" pencil on paper
This was a commission for  .She asked for Captain Hook from the Movie "Peter Pan", and as he was played by Jason Isaacs hamming it up - once again - in a wig and gorgeous clothes I was only too happy to oblige. I had a lot of fun with the feather hat and the elaborately embroidered costume, and while the hair would have driven me to extremes only a year ago, now I revelled in every little curl - thus are the joys of improving one's technique. Oh and the spiney plants and the Jolly Roger are actually from my own stock - AKA holiday pics from my recent trip to Grand Cayman. I'll also submit this picture to  for her "Villains" - contest. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces.
