Another Lucius drawing from GOF. This one was interesting to do, because I got to do some costume research. I had first thought that Lucius in the graveyard scene was wearing some kind of cassock with a cloak over it, when in fact it turned out the whole thing is one single-piece caped robe. - Very helpful if the Dark Lord calls you and you have little time to get all kitted out in evil-garb. The only bit I made up is the design on the large pendant he wears in the graveyard scene, because the reference photo just didn't give up the secret. So I went ahead and chose the Sigil Dei Aemeth. It's a sigil that Dr. John Dee, court magus to Queen Elizabeth I, received during a scrying session. It seemed appropriate for a powerful wizard like Lucius. Oh yeah, and I dabbled in some background - am still in shock over that. |
