Bellatrix

I treated myself to a few Noble Collection DH replica goodies last Christmas, among them Bellatrix' dagger. The green enamel handle showed a rather cool ornament of a skull surrounded by scrollwork and crowned with laurel.

I managed to make a decent mold off it the other day and used silver clay to replicate the design. I then pierced the dried clay to give the necklace a lighter and more filigree look and connected it to a length of silver chain by a set of nice green goldstone beads.

Goldstone is a man-made stone that usually comes as a rust-brown version set with tiny gold mica flakes for a sun-stone like shiller. There also exists a black variety with deep blue flecks, but this is the first time I've seen the stone with green. The shimmer is really quite intense and quite mysterious, definitely very Slytherin, though the photo gives only a hint of the true depth of the stones.

I definitely think this is something Bellatrix would wear for a night out in LV's company...
