(2008) 16'' x 16", mirror tile, mirror lacquer, stained glass (black opaque, grey opal, blue opal, caramel alabaster), copper foil, lead solder, glass etching fluid
Well, time for a little something else. I had wanted to experiment with some glass etching fluid, so I transferred a celtic knotwork pattern on a mirror tile by stopping out the liquid with transparent foil cut with a craft knife, used the same technique on four opaque black glass circles for a spiral pattern and then assembled the overall design using traditional tiffany glass technqiue. The knotwork pattern on the mirror is based on a design from Bradley W. Schenck. "Celtic Knotwork Borders". |

Sag mal, wieviel Stunden hat Dein Tag eigentlich? Meine Schwester und ich haben schon darueber spekuliert, wie Du es schaffst - neben Deinem Job - so ungeheuer viele, bis ins letzte Detail durchdachte Arbeiten tatsaechlich umzusetzen.
(Wir haben staendig das Gefuehl, nie genug Zeit zur Verfuegung zu haben)
