Description
(2007) 2.5"x 2.5" for the silver pendant, 16" for the overall length of the necklace.
Art Clay Silver (cut, sculpted, fired and patinaed), teal transparent enamel, silver beads, Bali silver, faceted aquamarine beads, silver finding for the clasp, Fireline.
I've had this circular key-pattern design with me forever, at one point I even thought of getting it as a tattoo, but now I can wear it. The four-pointed design represents the four elements to me and the way they constantly are in flux transforming one into the other without end.
The 10 spokes of the star-design are actually two superimposed pentagrams, one pointing upwards, one pointing down. To me it expresses the conviction that spirit is not divorced from or higher than matter (as those would have it who only tolerate the upward pointing pentagram), nor is it subject to matter as the downward Baphomet pentagram would have it, but they are evenly matched, a constant exchange. So this one has quite a bit of significance for me.
As for the color, it just was my favorite from the Geomancer firing, and I thought I'd like it for my keypattern design.
