Electrum by Ellygator Electrum by Ellygator
(2017) 7.5"x 3", Size 15 seed beads (matte black, 14k green gold glaze, green-lined grey ab, cream-lined crystal ab) obsidian beads, Fireline.

I finally broke into a bag of green-gold glazed beads I've had for a while and just needed the right project for. The black background really lets the metallic accents pop, and the subtly dark green filler beads emphasize the greenish hue of the gold beads. The ancients called green gold (an alloy of silver and gold) electrum, hence the title.

Design based on the beautiful art by :iconkarloz030985:.

I am so, so behind on your deviations, and you're so prolific, that I hope you'll forgive some quick and dirty reviews!

That is a beautiful green, indeed, and I love the hidden octopi in the bracelet wings--you meant to do that, right?

Thank you! And yes, I was thinking tentacles when I beaded the long, sinuous shapes! It's been a while since I used a pure matte black background I'd almost forgotten how that makes even slightly dimmer colors pop...
