(2006) 9\"x 3\", Size 15 seed beads (matte grey-blue, matte silver lined sapphire, matte silver-lined light blue, silver metallic), blue and light blue Indian vintage glass beads, Bali silver, nylon thread.
The last of the four elemental bracelets representing the element of Air. I chose blue as the dominant color, silver for the metal and glass beads for the clasp and connections.
Air stands for the rational mind, for intellectual capacity, invention and travel. No natural stone could have matched that quite like a handful of man-made glass beads, which were often used for trade and which are a tribute to human artistry, early "science" and inventiveness.
The curved "blade" shapes of the pattern remind me of scimitars, which again seemed fitting, because the suite of swords represents the element of air in the Tarot.
I could make an adapted design, both larger in size and perhaps less feminine with the accent beads, please note me if interested and I'm sure we can work something out.
