Elemental Bracelet - Air by Ellygator Elemental Bracelet - Air by Ellygator
(2006) 9\"x 3\", Size 15 seed beads (matte grey-blue, matte silver lined sapphire, matte silver-lined light blue, silver metallic), blue and light blue Indian vintage glass beads, Bali silver, nylon thread.

The last of the four elemental bracelets representing the element of Air. I chose blue as the dominant color, silver for the metal and glass beads for the clasp and connections.

Air stands for the rational mind, for intellectual capacity, invention and travel. No natural stone could have matched that quite like a handful of man-made glass beads, which were often used for trade and which are a tribute to human artistry, early "science" and inventiveness.

The curved "blade" shapes of the pattern remind me of scimitars, which again seemed fitting, because the suite of swords represents the element of air in the Tarot.

I could make an adapted design, both larger in size and perhaps less feminine with the accent beads, please note me if interested and I'm sure we can work something out.

Very elegant design. The deep blues remind me of deep waters, though. It seems to me that many times the colors and design themes for Air and Water are very similar, often interchangable.

I agree, I guess it's also because in some systems Air is yellow and Water blue, for other folks it's blue for Air and green for Water. So blue could mean either element.

I still have it. If you are interested it would be $150 including shipping. I know the price looks high, but it takes between 20 to 25 hours to make these, and every one is unique. Please note me if you'd like it. I have a Paypal account and will give you the details.

You're welcome~! I'm starting to get into seed-beading myself (my grandma sent me a Fire Mountain Gems catalog), so I'd love to learn how to make little things to sell at our annual summer festival. Thankies for the info~!

Thank you! This one was the first. And it kind of gave me the idea for the others, to use four colors in all, and one of them being a metallic one.

Thank you! Interestingly enough it was the first I actually worked on in the series and set the tone for the rest (four colors, one metallic etc.)

If I ever have to pick an element, I always pick air. :)
Great job! I particularly like the clasp.
That's interesting, the note you made about the man-made materials for Air.
