(2006) 9"x 3", Size 15 seed beads (matte beige, dark metallic olive, metallic bronze, transparent pale yellow iris), tiger's eye beads, faceted bronze-fumed crystal beads, nylon thread.

The next element in my series of four features Earth. I wanted bronze as the elemental metal and strong deep earth colors to complement it. For the design I tried to incorporate round shapes that suggested earthbound cycles of life and gave the bracelet a "closed" feeling.

I like how the large spirals seem to symbolize ram's horns to me now. The bracelet seems understated and calm, less flashy than fire and less playful and ornate than water, but exudes a certain kind of quiet strength.

While tiger's eye is allocated to Fire in some systems its structure has always reminded me of the texture of polished dark wood, and it's got a much more earthy feeling to me than for example carnelian or garnet.

Hi, I still have Earth and Fire, but Air and Water have been sold. I can make replicas, however.

This is really striking. It looks like a snake pattern.

Thank you! I first thought it would be dull because of the close relationship of all the colors. And then it ended up being almost my fave of the series...

Thank you very much! I first thought the colors would be a bit dull, but now I believe it's just right for the element of Earth.

Solid and strong, that's what the colors say to me. Deep and unmoving, and the 'closed; patterns really do work well for earth. Wonderful craftsmanship as always!
