Description
(2017), 15" x 6" x 5", stained glass (olive opal, opalescent white, light grey, blue-grey, opalescent brown), glass lenses, copper foil, lead solder, chains and rings
Companion piece to the "Fuego!", "Agua" and "Aire" lanterns I made before. This one features glass in various earth tones in a pattern of crystals and three etched glass lenses showing the earth signs of Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn. The three panels are connected to form a triangle with a transparent triangular glass panel suspended between them to support a candle.
I fixed chains to each of the tops of the panels so the lantern can be hung from a hook.
