(2005) 8.5" x 11" 15 size seed beads (14k gold enamel, lined turquoise, lined coral, metallic bronze, black), fishing line, black square beads, bronze spacers, bronze disks, carnelian chips, turquoise beads, pheasant feathers

I made this as an applique for a textile bag as part of a collaboration with a friend. Unfortunately family life got in the way of my friend's part of the project, so the bead component languishes alone at the bottom of my bead cupboard... I've been thinking of maybe adding a contraption at the top and making a wall-hanging out of it.

Gorgeous. :wow: I didn't realise the main part was made of beads until I saw the full view. I can see it must've taken ages. Very pretty, would make a lovely wall hanging. Keep up the good work! =) :+favlove:

Thanks so much! That's incidentally what it ended up being, it's now hanging on a wall in my study.

Thank you! Actually if you want to dig through my scraps I have posted a lot of tutorials and patterns and other useful help there. It explains how to do Peyote stitch which is how this was made, how to make the irregular edges etc. And it has patterns to try and template paper you can print to make your own.

I think it could make an amazing barette. Ever think of that? I think this is wonderful.

Thank you. It may be a bit on the large side for that, but I like the idea of a barette with feather dangles... let me muse on that for a while!
