My Dragon's Back

(2012), 9"x 3", Size 11 delica beads (white and off-white opalescent, opalescent taupe, transparent light orange lined, matte 15k light gold, matte metallic light bronze, matte metallic dark bronze, metallic bronze, matte black, glossy black), size 15 seed beads (metallic bronze), Fireline.

I made this from a pattern based on a photo I took of my bearded dragon's back markings. She has lovely dappled brown and beige scales with slight hints of orange and taupe, so I needed quite a variety of bead colors (10 in total) to capture at least some idea of the variety.

I posed her with the bracelet for a little side-by-side comparison.

The bracelet is a seamless cuff with a nice and understated size 15 seed bead picot edge.
