(2009) 9"x 3", Size 11 Delica beads (Metallic gold iris, metallic dark bronze iris), Tiger's Eye beads, nylon thread.

The basic technique of combined Peyote and Ndebele stitch that results in small folded-looking squares is not my invention, but was taken from the last edition of "Bead and Button" magazine. However, I changed the project to make my own design and arrangement for the bracelet. Just copying something is boring!

The bracelet has a wonderfully three-dimensional feeling as the little squares all fit together in a way that makes it look as if it was folded from metallic paper.

Thank you! I got them from www.about-beads.com. They have a great selection of Miyuki delicas.

I do beadwork, but never something that involved. Looks like a labor of love and a quite a few hours later! Beautiful.

Thank you! I wish I had also thought up the idea for the basic stitch - such a cool way to go 3D!
