This one has been rattling around in my head for quite some time. Snape and Draco have made their way from Hogwarts to Snape's place after the DE attack on the school and the murder of the headmaster and now they are having to think where they can flee and hide from the wrath of the Order and the Ministry. I wanted to keep the picture as ambiguous as possible.
Snape could be resentful of Draco, because the boy's incompetence has forced his hand and blown his cover; he could be grieving and remorseful over killing a man, who trusted, sheltered and befriended him for many years; he could be relieved that it was finally over, the Unbreakable resolved, and Draco untainted by murder; or he could be secretly gloating that he was finally LV's most trusted Death Eater. We just don't know and you can see what you will depending whether you believe that Snape is good, evil, or perhaps just a pragmatist looking out for himself.
Draco is similarly enigmatic. Is he still shocked at seeing a vile being like Fenrir attack his friends and school-mates and a man being killed right before his eyes? Is he glad Voldemort has got his way and won't have a reason to kill him and his parents? Or perhaps is he angry at Snape for killing Dumbledore, because for a moment there the old man held out a glimmer of hope and safety for him and his family, but with the headmaster dead that hope has vanished?
Make of it what you will - hopefully we will find out the truth next summer...
This is so odd as I was just thinking about what Draco would look like if you drew him, haha so I about died when I saw this!!! You are the besstttt!! The background is amazing - and Snape is just *sigh* wonderful!!

Oh I love this drawing. I like the last theory that Draco is angry at Snape for killing Dumbledore.
The background is wonderful, it seems like one of the old tacky industial areas in my home town Leipzig.
Thank you! I thought it would be interesting if Dumbledore almost had Draco convinced there was hope for him and his folks if he trusted the headmaster. Draco might be desperate enough by now to grasp at straws like that. And then Snape breezes in with his "Avada!"...
For the background I used some old photographic materials of worker's slums in Yorkshire. They had many wool mills there, and with a name like Spinner's End I always pictured Snape's house somewhere in the Leeds or Manchester region. It's interesting that workers' quarters in Leipzig looked so similar.

Thank you! I really enjoyed drawing Draco and was quite happy with his face almost from the start. This Snape however, had me nearly trashing the picture. The way he looks now was almost a complete rework from my first attempt which I fortunately managed to erase successfully. The first time round I wasn't happy with either the likeness or the expression...
The background is taken from an old photo of a mill workers' slum somewhere in Yorkshire at the turn of the last century. I thought it was fitting for Spinner's End.
