(2011) 9"x 3", Size 15 seed beads (matte black, transparent beige, silver-lined light amethyst, silver-lined deep purple), amethyst beads, polyester thread.

I am really in love with this piece - the way the lines of the design seem to "fit" inside each other and drive each other forward. I may try and make another one with a completely different color scheme.

Line-work, as so often with my bracelets is based on the fabulous tattoo art of :iconkarlozart:

Thanks so much! And I am so sorry to hear that your hands are hurting too much for beadwork right now. Hope you make a good recovery!

Thank you! Sometimes a pattern just seems to work. This one really does...

this one really does, but also because the colours are so subtle.. with seeds that can be so hard because when you by them in a batch the colour is vivid, but woven sometimes the contrast is too small.. here its just perfect

If you do decide to play around with different colour schemes with this piece, I think this particular pattern would look gorgeous in citrine and forest green...
As it is, I really like the design. There's just something about it that's so aesthetically pleasing...

You might have also called this bracelet "Sting Ray," as that is what it reminds me of, and I mean that as a compliment! The purple gradient that you managed in so fine a space is impressive, and the touch of gold makes the cool purple seem almost warm. The dark border unites and frames the whole nicely. The natural visual depth of the amethyst beads manage to due justice to all of the bracelet's colors at once. A pity you fancy this piece so much yourself; I imagine a duplicate would be quick to sell.

I think a rich wine color scheme would also work well with this pattern (and appeal to your love of warm tones).

Oh, I like that. Like you I love rays - so graceful in the water. I got to hug one once - on a sandbank on Grand Cayman. It was pretty amazing!
