(2005) 16" for the overall length of the necklace, 1 1/2"x 1" for the pendant. Silver clay and green enamel for the pendant, green faceted chalcedony, bali silver, obsidian beads, fireline and silver findings for the necklace.
This is my first attempt at enamel. (Gotta put that kiln to use...) Enameling on pure (999) silver is very easy as the silver can be worked immediately after annealing, no pickling etc. necessary. I was very pleased with the results and will try this again.
The title is taken from JRR Tolkien's the Silmarillion: Telperion was the elder of the Two Trees of Valinor, called the White Tree, which shed silver light on the domain of the Valar. His leaves were of dark green, shining silver beneath, and his boughs were decked with brilliant flowers that shed a rain of silver dew.
