(2006) 11"x 1", Size 15 seed beads (satin bone white, brown iris and turquoise-lined transparent), drilled shell, nylon thread.
My first bead anklet. I wanted something tribal-looking to wear with a carved Maori bone pendant I tend to put on a lot in the summer and settled on this wave pattern. The shell-closure seemed to be a nice way to pick up on the whole Pacific/Polynesian theme, though if you look under the hood you'll find a very non-tribal push-button holding it together. It was the only way to get the shell to lie flush against the rest of the beadwork.
You can find the pattern for the anklet in my scraps. [link]
