One of the wonderful art genres I follow on DA are fractals, and I recently had quite a stunning visual experience when I ran across renders made with a 3D program called "Mandelbulb 3D". One deviant in particular not only produces stunning art with this program, he's also generously sharing his knowledge with some great tutorials and examples. Hope you enjoy a little sample from his gallery:

I definitely woke up to a nice surprise this morning finding that :icondragonladych: had suggested my latest Project for a DD! A big "thank you" goes to her for doing that and to :iconkubusrubus: for featuring it!

In other news, :iconriabhach: caught my 400.000th pageview the other day. She picked my "Blue Mask" bracelet for her kiriban.

Now back to the message center to deal with all the feedback that snowed in this morning! Have a great weekend, everyone!

No worries, and you're welcome! *hugs* I'll be sure to send your feathers off with your box, or even beforehand if I become convinced that I just won't get to it in the near future.

In other happy weekend news, I finally came across the perfect black blouse to wear with your scarab pendant. That, coupled with my favorite black skirt and trademark boots + newly size 6 me (all my pants are falling off!) = some snazzy con attire! I've just been invited to be the guest of honor at one in two years (they're booked until then), so I'm glad for the healthy wardrobe standby's!

Wow! That sounds like the perfect outfit! And congratulations on the weight-loss. I'm still battling to come down from a size 8 back to my usual 6. However, this year I seem to be stuck at about 8-10 pounds heavier than I want to be and unable to shed anything. (Grrrr!)

Also, it's very cool, that they invited you for the con!

Indeed! As the artist guest of honor, I would be paid for my time and travels, as opposed to paying for wall space and hoping for the best (which I've been quite lucky with, granted!). The con would also pimp on my behalf, which is always appreciated.

As part of dropping the poverty weight (ah, Ramen noodles--evil, evil Ramen noodles) from our unemployed stint, I finally quit drinking soda, which seems to have been the biggest catalyst. That, and being able to afford real/healthy food, for I am the fruit and veggie queen when given the choice. I get stir-crazy if I go a few days without being able to walk or hike for a few hours, so it was a mainly a matter of cutting out the processed crap and working off the damage!

That's good, that almost means you were simply bouncing back to the weight you were most likely supposed to have had. I guess I am finally catching up with my boring sedentary office lifestyle and those business lunches or dinners. I actually wish I had a little more control over my diet (eating out often leaves you with very few sensible choices and a lot of tempting stupid ones...) I think warmer weather and swimming will do me some good in the next few months, too.
