On checking my humongous watch-list on my return I was mostly blown away by the recent bead-work of this artist, so I think she definitely deserves a feature here.
Her unerring sense of color and bold combination of seed beads, gemstones, crystal and natural materials like fur, horn and leather make her a remarkably versatile artist. Her pieces evoke realms of mystery and fantasy and have a wonderful aura of the elaborate and magical.
Well, I've had a wonderful 10 days back home with family, and apart from the fact that I managed to catch a really ugly cold bug on the plane ride there, I really enjoyed myself. It was good to see everyone and catch up with my niece and nephews who have all grown up quite a bit from the last time I saw them.
In other news, I managed to snap some pictures of the article in the German beading magazine featuring one of my wing bracelets, so here is what the piece looks like. Once a new edition is out I can probably go and upload the original to my gallery properly.
And finally, I was shocked to read a short interview transcription with Jason Isaacs here [link] that seems to indicate that Lucius Malfoy will meet an end in DH that's different from the books. And while the actor does not actually confirm whether they are killing him off, whatever they have decided to do with him will mean less scenes for Lucius in the movie than originally planned - and I presume indicated in the book.
I'm rather disappointed, I must say. Aside from Draco I think all of the Slytherins, including Snape, have got a rather raw deal in the latest movies...

And yeah, less Lucius definitely is not a good thing! I had so looked forward to seeing more of him in the next two movies, since he had quite a bit of focus on him in the book.
C'mon, Elly, we both know that Lucius was a bit of a coward and a bystander in the final book, it was Narcissa who was wearing the pants in the family..
Maybe.. Ok I know the writers have messed up everything in the books (and especially our fave characters) but.. I kiiiiinda trust that Jason is gonna do.. ok not something BIG for Lucius, but maybe something cool, yes...
Dunno..
