Just a few recent landscape faves that I love. Hope you enjoy!

Sorry for my silence these past few days - I was actually on vacation visiting my own family in Germany and my husband's family in England. We spent a few lovely days away from home enjoying some seriously gorgeous spring weather. Even the fact that I had no internet access only proved hard to bear for the first two days or so - must be the withdrawal symptoms. After that I didn't miss it as badly as I'd thought. I guess it's good to find out from time to time if you can still do without!

Of course the down-side of all this is the crazy watch-list I now have going on here on DA. 4900+ pieces of art to watch and nearly 250 journal entries. So I am waving the white flag right now and surrender! I will answer all comments and as usual thank for multiple faves or for additions to someone's watchlist, but otherwise I will commit the dreaded fave-and-run and only leave comments when I really cannot shut up about something I see.

On the art front it's the same-old, same-old. I have a few more bead-pieces in the works and am busy enameling a few more silver shapes which I can hopefully post here in a few days. I am also busy on some more lizard drawings and am hoping for some scrumptious pre-Deathly Hallows II footage for more HP art...

Oh, let me know when you're getting ready for that. I sure will have some nice tips, old quaint little towns and villages, castles, the lot!

I know, it's tough, at least for the first few days. I did have my phone with me, so I could at least see if I was missing any important emails (work and such...)

I went to Paris on '07 for Spring Break. It was either Cancun with a bunch of drunken teenagers, most of whom I can stand even when they're sober, or France...Hmm...lol. I realized that I was only a about 5 hours from Solingen, Germany, where my friend Vanessa lives. Too bad she was back in Michigan (where I grew up/went to school) as an exchange student...lol. I've been dying to go and as soon as I can afford it, I'm going to set $10 a week aside or more to save up for a trip there. I'm only the 6th generation born over here from Germany and my pioneering ancestor was in the Civil War...We have kids late, lol. Hope your trip was fantastisch and jolly good! :)

That's one cool story! I do hope you are able to visit your friend. I think nothing is quite like seeing a country when someone shows you around who lives there. You get so much more than the average tourist who stays to the usual landmarks... As for your France trip - smart move! I would have done the same! Hope you enjoyed Paris.

My own vacation was really beautiful - we had awesome spring weather, and seeing family is always a good thing. My niece and nephews are growing like weeds...
