Still sunshine and fall-temperatures in Texas, but I find myself feeling like a bit of snow right now:

After letting my Etsy store languish for way too long, I've decided to grab a few of my wing-bracelets that didn't make it to my usual consignment store in Grapevine this year and post them there. Here are some of the beauties you can find there [link]:

So if there's a special someone you still need to get a one-of-a-kind gift for, perhaps one of these will do.

Not much else to report: Christmas shopping is all done and gifts to family and friends are shipped, I'm expecting a few more crazy days at work, before things settle down for the holidays. I am really looking forward to a bit of a break!

So glad you're back on Etsy, Elly! These are all wonderful and will make some lucky buyers very happy. I only wish they would fit me. LOL ;)

Thank you! One of these days I have to work a custom piece for you with your right measurements - maybe a trade?!

That's wonderful, you can take time to plan - mine was a bit of a whirlwind affair involving timing around a green card application for myself and my husband. So we did something on the fly. I actually wore a white party-gown, not a wedding dress...

That can be cool too right? I don't know if I would ever marry without a real dress :p

It was pretty cool at the time. We booked 20 minutes at a church in South Padre on the south Texas coast, where we were heading with friends to celebrate New Year's 1999, got hitched in the late afternoon and then simply used the New Year's party at the hotel for our wedding reception. One of my friends was my maid of honor and talked the hotel manager into giving her a pair of scissors and letting her snip some of the poinsettia decorations for a bouquet for me. The hotel band figured out there was a just married couple in the crowd and let us kick off the evening dancing. It was all very spontaneous and improvised, but really good fun.
