Beautiful leopard geckos on DA

While I am happy to remember her as a calm, beautiful and curious little gecko, I am sad to say that on the night of the 21st of December, Two Spots, our lovely leopard gecko passed from renal failure due to old age.

She came to us as a gift in the spring of 2003, bright orange with two big chocolate spots on her back and hungry for pinhead crickets. Over the years she got used to us and to many of our friends. She would happily climb over and onto people's hands. And from there there was no stopping her crawling up sleeves and investigating to her heart's content.

We'll miss you, little one!

Thank you so much! I think she had a good life with us, yes.

While I myself am not a fan of reptiles (even pretty ones like this), I do know the pain from losing a beloved pet all too well and so I am sorry to read this. Last night, I thought I saw Nyra - a cat we lost years ago - in our living room, proving only that they never really leave us completely. *hugs*

Thanks so much for your kind words. And you are right. I still happily remember every fish, budgie, dog, cat and lizard that ever lived with me. While loss hurts, it doesn't outweigh all the good and joyful times.

Danke Dir fuer Deine liebe Worte.

Thank you so much! I wish she'd been with us for longer, but I guess nearly 8 years is good for someone that small...

:( Sorry for your loss... I know it can be hard for some people to understand how much it hurts when you lose a little friend that doesn't have hair, feathers or fur... but I know (from meeting a bearded dragon) that these little guys really do have big personalities.
