Beautiful leopard geckos on DA

While I am happy to remember her as a calm, beautiful and curious little gecko, I am sad to say that on the night of the 21st of December, Two Spots, our lovely leopard gecko passed from renal failure due to old age.

She came to us as a gift in the spring of 2003, bright orange with two big chocolate spots on her back and hungry for pinhead crickets. Over the years she got used to us and to many of our friends. She would happily climb over and onto people's hands. And from there there was no stopping her crawling up sleeves and investigating to her heart's content.

We'll miss you, little one!

So sorry about your gecko. I know how you feel. I have a bearded dragon, Sunnie that I have had for 12 years and she is not doing very well at all and this morning I thought she had passed away but she was still barely alive. I know she is going to pass any day now and I am already grieving deeply and wishing I could do something to help her pain go away.

Oh, I am so sorry to hear that. If there is a chance of her getting better, then of course I wish that for you. If not, and 12 years is a really great age for a beardie, I think, then I hope she has an easy passing. If she lived with you for so long, I know she was well loved and really well taken care of. The photos of her you show in your gallery are so beautiful, she has so much character.

I really feel for you. Every time I look at a leo, it still gives me a little stab. We never quite forget, and that's a good thing after all.

Yeah beardies live around 7-12 years so she is elderly. She looked great until the past 6 months and I know she is just old but it still hurts to see her suffer. Thanks:) I had a Leo many years ago. Reptiles always make for interesting pets. I love them!

My heart goes out to you. Having experienced the loss of my cat of 17 years this past year, I do sympathize. I wish you peace.

Thank you so much for your kind words. It's really hard to lose a pet, and having a cat companion for so long it must be extra difficult.

Thank you! I think overall she was a very happy gecko. She became really tame and used to us.
