Those of you who are watching my gallery for my Snape-related HP fan-art may have seen a pattern in my recently submitted art: most drawings were commissions to illustrate a fanfiction by the lovely

I am very sorry to say that a close friend of hers just informed me that Claudia AKA Maeve had recently passed away. She had barely got past her 50th birthday. I loved her ideas and I loved reading the chapters of her tale which she sent me per email, so I don't think she'd posted online and I can't point you to an internet site to read them.
I don't think I have ever clicked on someone's DA site in the knowledge that they've left a virtual trace, but that their physical presence has ceased. I guess our generation may not leave stone gravestones, but rather spaces in cyberspace that our friends may visit and remember us by. It seems a strange thought to me when I recall seeing my grandparents graves, who never had a DA or facebook account, and I am now mourning a virtual friend who I never met in person, but I have a space to go on my computer and within my emails to remember her.
* If you ask me to make artwork available as a print, please check if it uses copyrighted material. DA will not take print submissions that are based on such materials. This means, no prints of drawings based on movies or TV shows like the Harry Potter Movies, Brokeback Mountain, CSI etc. If you want a drawing as a print please note me instead.

My Prayers goes to you and the Families of Claudia AKA Maeve had recently passed away.
