In keeping with the whole snow-theme, let's have just a nice selection of white!

I think spring got canceled this year. I woke up to more bloody snow this morning! This is what our street looks like, and it's still coming down, too!

I am so tired of the cold weather this year. It's like living somewhere up north all over again. Unfortunately I had already jumped the gun, being fooled by the slightly warmer temperatures last week and planted some carnations and phlox. I bet they are not making it through this...

In other news, I'm going home to Germany at the end of the month to visit family - at least the weather over there can't be much worse than this, right?!

Last week was quite warm, which was nice, but early spring got cancelled as well over here - from freezing to over 20 degree C in less than two weeks.
Well, hopefully over Easter, it´ll be better, so you can actually enjoy your stay.

Thank you. Spent today in Limburg under bright sunny skies and in quite warm temps. If it stays like this - no complaints!

This winter/early spring has been "moody," to say the least. We're fortunate where I am in that we just don't get the winter extremes, but still...

I hope you have a wonderful visit im Vaterland ;)

Thank you, and yeah, it's just been the constant cold when houses in Texas are not the best insulated or most efficiently heated. I've been wearing fleece jackets and felt house-shoes indoors for 6 consecutive months now, and I'm fed up to the teeth with constantly being cold and having every shower feel like I'm going on an arctic expedition...

I hadn't seen your post until just now -- ack! Looks like the entire West is having a Dr. Jekyll-Mr.Hyde time with the weather! We got dumped on here in Colorado last night, but it should be super nice again in just a couple of days.

As to planting out stuff in the garden: have you heard of a technique called "winter sowing"? It's the bestest no-worry way to start off seeds ever! [link]

You too? Two days after the snow we had 75 degrees. I feel for anyone with arthritis. The must me having a hell of a time with all those changes in weather and temps. I like the idea of having seeds in the ground and the plant making up its own mind when it's good and ready to give it a go! Thanks for the tip!

It's been strange near Chicago as well. One weekend was in the upper 60', followed by snow a week later.

Never been to Germany, but my great grandma was from there. It's on my top 5 list of places to visit.

You should go some time in late summer. I think it's the time I like best, the weather is usually sunny and the beer gardens are open...

The weather here turned 180 degrees since the snow. 75 yesterday. I think I'm going crazy.
