In keeping with the time of year I just picked a few recently faved winter-themed art submissions. Hope you like them.

2008 is drawing to a close, and it's been one of those watershed years for me where when you think back on the same time in 2007 it feels like not 12 months have passed, but several centuries instead.
This year has seen me set up my own consulting business and leaving a corporate job I had been in for 12 years. Despite the economic down-turn, my first year has been very profitable and exciting, and I am hoping that 2009 will bring me more customers and more challenges. While I was able to work with and learn from some awesome people in my previous job, it certainly feels good being my own boss now, making my own decisions and having nothing to do with office politics any more. I celebrated my 10th anniversary of emigrating to the US on December 1 and will be celebrating 20 years of being with my husband next week. We met in Ilkley in Yorkshire December 23rd 1988...
With regards to my art 2008 has also seen some big developments: I finished the biggest and most ambitious stained glass project I have ever done, and I completed my Harry Potter Tarot - 78 individually drawn cards summing up all I know about the Tarot and my interpretation of the 7 Harry Potter books and their characters.
Here on DA I've connected with some fabulous new friends and would really like to take the opportunity to thank everyone who commissioned me or did art trades with me this year. I had my status closed for most of the year because I was too busy, and a few drawings are not posted yet, but here's the list for 2008. Thank you very much everyone!

If you want to know more about my art:
