Description

(2014), 3" x 8", delica beads (matte black, matte dark brown, transparent lined brown, transparent dark grey, transparent lined light grey, matte light 14k gold, light apricot AB, gilt-lined white opal), black 15 seed beads, Fireline.

This pattern is based on the markings of a Gaboon viper. I remember watching my first viper at a zoo for what must have been an hour, being completely blown away by the geometric beauty and perfection of its pattern. Still, in nature you probably don't want to get too close and personal, despite their beauty: Gaboon vipers have the longest fangs, up to 2 inches (5 cm), and the highest venom yield of any venomous snake.

I saw it in the preview and KNEW without even pulling it up what the pattern was based on. It's my favorite venomous snake :3
