Low Tide

(2015), 9"x3.5", Size 15 seed beads (silver-lined light turquoise and silver-lined baby blue) and size 11 seed beads (silver-lined light blue-grey, silver-lined smoked opal, gold-lined opal, matte bone white) worked in Ndebele stitch, closure bead (blue chalcedony), focal glass art bead, fireline.

Loved the beachy pastel tones of this lovely little focal glass art bead and tried to pick up on the colors in soft shades of blue and grey slowly changing to little bumps of sandy opals and cream whites. I guess all that dark dank weather over Thanksgiving needed a project that reminded me of nice warm summer days digging my toes in the sand...
