Stone Lace

(2004-2005) between 9" and 9 1/4" x 1 1/2" and 2". From top to bottom: faceted carnelian beads, labradorite lentil beads and faceted sunstone mixed with Bali silver, 14k white gold delica beads, 20-24 gauge silver wire.

Despite their different looks all three bracelets are constructed along the same prinple: a central ring holds up to six pieces of wire strung with a mix of gemstones and silver. Depending on the number of rings and the length of the wire pieces you can achieve quite a varitey of appearances. The one challenge: to find gemstones with large-enough drill-holes to accommodate a wire thick enough to hold its shape. If you go above 24 gauge the wire is simply too thin for the bracelet to hold together.
