Turquoise Trade by Ellygator Turquoise Trade by Ellygator
(2013) 7.5"x 3", Size 15 seed beads (dark metallic bronze, gold-lined opal, silver-lined matte turquoise ab) turquoise beads, Fireline.

This bracelet has recently come back to me. It was part of an art trade and the person who it was gifted to passed away. Her relatives sent it back... I guess some of the pieces I gave away or sold have their own stories now... I never photographed this bracelet for some reason, so now that it's back with me, I decided to snap a pic and share.

Design based on the beautiful art by :iconkarloz030985:.

Thank you! I rarely repeat patterns, but this one I may do again and try different colors...

Wow, what an interesting background for this bracelet. Did you know the person? That's horrible news, I guess the relatives didn't want any sorrow-filled memories with that individual's items, I guess. Did they say why they sent it back, actually? Very nice bracelet as always. Your craftsmanship and way with colors always amazes me. A beautiful, charming wrist-hugger.

Thank you! It was strange to get it back, but the woman I made it for traded a soutache piece for it. She was older and died of a stroke - her daughter sent the bracelet back and let me know that she wasn't really wearing jewelry and it would be nice if the piece went back to someone who it meant something to and who would remember her Mum. I offered the exchange piece back, but since it was also jewelry she didn't want it back.

You're very welcome! Ahh, I see. That's very saddening. Oh, I understand now. That's very thoughtful of the daughter. Thankfully the bracelet has returned to it's now rightful place and holds a little something special yet sad.
