All jewelry in this segment of my gallery uses Silver Art Clay as its main medium. Silver Art Clay consists of pure silver particles in a cellulose and water binder medium that allows it to be shaped and molded when wet and carved and sanded when dry. Once dried the clay pieces are fired in a kiln which causes the binder-medium to burn off and leaves a 999 pure silver object that can then be worked like any other silver component, i.e. set with stones, enameled, hammered, soldered, shaped and of course antiqued, polished and burnished.
